Bridals – Patrick & Pearlyn

Let’s start this new blog with a bridals that we shot some time back.  Before I get into the beautiful couple and the fun time we had together, let me give an introduction of how we go about our bridals.

For our Bridals at PhotosByMarbles, our couples get not one, but two photographers!  Two heads are better than one, and this definitely applies to our full-day bridals.  Oli & I work together to ensure that our brains don’t run out of fun and whacky ideas and that our couples have a great time.  Very often, when one of us poses the couple, the other person gets inspired somehow and steps in to inject more creativity into the shot.  We work in tandem, and there’s no lack of ideas every time. Many times, Oli poses the couple and I take the shot. It’s really surprising how we seem to have telepathy sometimes.  I guess that why we married each other!

Having a second person around also helps in noticing the little details that may slip our eyes.  An extra fold in the gown, some dirt on the suit, or a few beads of perspiration, these are the little things that Oli & myself look out for during the shoot.

Our bridals is really about having fun and celebrating our couples’ love for each other, and we’re so glad to be able to share the day with our couples and celebrate their love.

Alright, here’s introducing the suave Patrick and his lovely bride, Pearlyn.  Yes, P & P.  (Maybe their kids’ names will begin with P too…)

Pearlyn is a friend we got to know from church, and she immediately thought of us when she was looking for photographers for her wedding.  We never got to meet Patrick till the day of the shoot, ‘cos Patrick, although he looks totally like a local, is from the US.  When we first met Patrick, he seemed really shy and quiet.  But as he warmed up through the bridals, we found out that he really was a funny and charming guy!  It’s no surprise that Pearlyn fell for him, and it we so evident during our time together that they are madly in love with each other.

I will never be able to fully comprehend how challenging it is for two people so in love to be separated by half the globe and 12 hours.  And that is why we’re so happy for Patrick and Pearlyn to have finally removed this barrier and to be together always!
